Office of Audits

The Office of Audits conducts audits and evaluations of loans, loan guarantees, and other investments made by the U.S. Department of the Treasury under programs within SIGPR’s jurisdiction.

The Office of Audits makes recommendations to agency leadership to promote economy and efficiency in agency administration, prevent and detect fraud and abuse, and facilitate the identification and prosecution of participants in fraud or abuse.

Audits, reviews, and other services are performed in accordance with the Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards and the Council of the Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency Quality Standards for Inspection and Evaluation as appropriate.

The Office of Audits also works in close partnership with the other members of the SIGPR team, the Pandemic Response Accountability Committee, other offices of inspector general, and other entities of the federal government as necessary to meet its mission.
